You might say Scott Eastman was born to make photographs. Because even though he claims no family ties to the illustrious George Eastman (of Eastman Kodak renown), Scott’s been doing right by the Eastman name since picking up his dad’s Instamatic camera in the 1970’s. A long-time hobbyist, Scott didn’t start shooting professionally until a few years ago (and even then, the term “professional” here is used in the most basic sense of getting paid to shoot). His grown-up job has long been in the area of advertising and marketing. As a graphic designer, Scott could often apply the fundamentals of photography to other forms of media including composition, balance and content. “If you have the eye for one art form, you’ll usually have competencies in other forms as well.”
