Cari is our resident local karaoke expert and has been with Weetacon since the first year. She jumped at a chance to review some Igigi garments and also, field tested them by working our karaoke party in her Masterpiece top that very night.
Vicenza Top
I received many compliments on this top but I have to say, it fell outside of my comfort zone.
The lace is very beautiful and flattering, but the cross-over front just didn’t sit right. I tried it straight across the left breast, completely covering the left breast and completely under. Friends say it looked best under, but to me, the style looks lopsided. I really liked the v-neck line but the length of the body was just a bit too short and snug: It cuts off across the most unflattering area of the belly and butt.
Really, I know I will wear it often because of the numerous compliments–I just need to get used cross-over front.
Montparnasse Dress
When I was first trying on the Montparnasse dress, I was thinking oh good, it fits nicely. Then I tied the belt and BAM! With my hour-glass figure, the belt instantly took this dress from a 6 to a 9.5!
I felt very slim. The nice fabrics and colors are extremely flattering for my skin/hair tones.
The cuffs on the sleeve have elastic in them which looks very nice and is practical, but could have had a little more give. I found that the garment was slightly restricting across the shoulders, but a little more give in the cuff would have cured that. Unfortunately the collar is not my liking: it just doesn’t lay right but my husband said “No one’s eyes are going to get as far up as the collar.” I guess he thought it was pretty flattering on my figure too!
Masterpiece Top
The Masterpiece top was made for me! It absolutely screams my name.
The gathered waist line and flowing bottom are so flattering on my hour-glass figure. I love the sleeve length, the color (would love this same top in other colors), the fabric, the length, the two-toned print.
The only thing I would change about this top is the shoulders: I wish the neckline covered the bra straps. A couple more inches of black fabric on each shoulder would make this the perfect top.
I feel absolutely beautiful in this top. My teenage daughter’s guy friends commented: “Brittany’s hot mom is here.”
I don’t care who you are… that feels great!

Man, I want that Heloise maxi dress. It would pretty much be the exact perfect dress to wear to summer parties, including my birthday picnic.
After reading your review, I think I’d get that Masterpiece top! It looks great on you! Love the color. You look lovely in all these Igigi picks, even the Vicenza Top, which I know you’re feeling a bit iffy about. Thanks for sharing!
You look amazing in the Montparnasse especially – I love that color on you!
I am now jonesing for the Rainy Day Trench in Olive, for wearing to work in the rainy season (which is about three-quarters of the year around here!)
The color of the Masterpiece top on you was spectacular.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I am loving Igigi’s accessories. I’m currently eying the Twiggy Clear Lucite Ring. I love enormous rings, and I would where this to work to jazz up a monochromatic outfit.
Wow. I love everything I’ve seen on everyone! I think that Vicenza top looks terrific on you!
I love the Misaki dress the best. I’d wear it on a date to a nice restaurant with my husband.
I have a cocktail party to attend in April – I think I’d get the Carmela dress and glam it up with some sparkly jewelry and some peep-toe heels. Fun!
So pretty! I would like the Bardot jacket for job interview purposes!
Boulangerie Wrap Dress! I want it. I’d wear it everywhere. Especially…well…anywhere!
I would like to wear the Nina Origami dress with a blazer and I would have an outfit for work that I could then turn into a nighttime dress with a few adjustments.
I’m currently debating the Champs Elysees Dress in Olive from Igigi! I really love everything I have seen on the Weetacon ladies, though.
I would get the Boulangerie Wrap Dress in Richelieu Blue. Then I would travel to Paris and wear it at a real life boulangerie, because where else would you wear a Boulangerie Dress? I’ll be really appreciative that the dress is adjustable after I eat some pain au chocolat and macaroons.
Hi Kari! I’d choose the blue Sachi dress and wear it to sing karaoke of course! See you next year.
I really like the new Sachi dresses. The print looks really nice, and you could probably dress it up or down. I would definitely wear it to my SIL’s wedding in June, but could also wear it to the office or to dinner with my husband.
Montparnasse Dress is my favorite of these three, but, all of them look fantastic on you! Igigi really has some great stuff, I only wish the dresses and skirts were longer as I am not comfortable showing off my leg that has severe lymphedema.
Oh that Montparnasse… I may have my eye on that one! You look so fantastic in it!
The Boulangerie Wrap Dress is still my favorite, although the Montparnasse looks great on you! I need a go-to dress for day events, and I think the Boulangerie would fit the bill nicely.
The Masterpiece top is so pretty! Flattering
I agree, that Masterpiece top is so pretty with your skin tone and makes you positively glow lady! If I were to pick a top it would be the Ishiko Top in Chocolate. I love brown, and the reversible belt just seems delish.
I have to agree with everyone else – that Montparnasse top is spectacular on you! I would love to have the Sachi dress in merlot – I would wear it to a wine bar and drink merlot, of course!
The Boulangerie Wrap Dress in Merlot Grape haiku:
‘A dress I could rock!
Wrap me in merlot grape cloth,
Fashionable Me!’
You look especially great in the Montparnasse dress! I was coveting that one the minute I saw it. Being practical, though, I’m plotting to get the Elianne Top in Purple so I can wear it to work.
The Boulangerie Wrap Dress is my favorite. I’d wear it when I sing solos at church.
Oh that dress is divine…really I could not imagine anything that looks better on you!
dang forgot the garment thing I would wear!
I think I would totally wear the Gianna Dress to my girlfriend’s wedding this summer..
I love the Babette Curvy

the gloria dress is fab! I might even wear it to work, but could definitely wear it out to dinner with my husband!
I’ve always wanted to try Igigi but just never did. I love the Gloria Dress in Bordeaux or Sachi in Merlot. I think either would be perfect for a upcoming wedding I have to attend in June!
Thank you for being honest about the fit issues! I’m glad that everyone loved their dresses, but it’s always good to know the constructive comments that people have. As for me, I’m loving the Tres Chic – I wonder whether my daily life is fabulous enough for the pattern, but maybe the dress will bring more visits to museums or other places that seem to call for gorgeousness. Regardless, it’s always good to have to live up to beautiful things!
I love the fancy Keira Lace Dress! I have several dress-up events and I would feel like a celebrity-star wearing this beautiful design.
I love the Bolero-Style Shrug in Black – I would wear it to a dressy work reception!
I love the Masterpiece top on you! I can’t believe how generous the IGIGI people are! Seriously, you guys were so lucky to get shopping sprees and I’m beyond jealous! Like a few other ladies have mentioned, I too am swooning over the Boulangerie. It’s such a classic shape and so versatile – just by changing up the accessories, make up and hair you can go from casual day to a luscious evening look. Do want!
i love the Gianna Dress so cute.
I really like the Boulangerie Wrap Dress. I think it would be great for work with just some simple jewelry.
I’ve got my eye on the L’Amourette for an upcoming retro theme wedding. I think I’d go with my pearl rope and possibly a pillbox hat, depending on how “theme” I decide to get. And pumps, natch : )
I would love the Boulangerie for the dates, so sexxxxy!
I’d like a Tres Chic dress. I would probably keep it simple with some black mary janes.
Really pretty!
I think the Boulangerie Wrap Dress is lovely. I would wear it to work (and maybe even on a date with my honey!) And I have a little side business selling jewelry, and I think I have some necklaces that would look PERFECT with it. Yay!
I would love the Nina or Sachi!
The Misaki dress is fabulous – and I’ve already got a hat that can go with it! I would have to find some great shoes, though, but I am up for the challenge! It would look amazing at all of the weddings I must attend this summer.
