Over the years, I have heard so many Weetacon friends gush about how amazing IGIGI is, and I’ve seen first hand how gorgeous the dresses are. But every time I would think about ordering one, a little voice in the back of my head would whisper “Will it fit YOU?” I haven’t worn a dress in years, never being satisfied with the way department store plus size dresess look and fit. Either things were designed with a potato sack in mind, or tacky looking.
This March, I had the opportunity to wear an IGIGI dress during the fashion show at Weetacon. I was quite nervous as the dress was picked out by another person, but after trying the dress on, I fell in love with IGIGI.
The first thing that was so surprising to me, was the sizing. Now, I’m usually a size 22/24 and this dress was a 18/20 and it fit amazingly! The dress came out of the garment bag without wrinkles, and I was very surprised to learn that the dress was lined. This was no ordinary dress! I was apprehensive of the stretchy poly material, but IGIGI did not let me down.
The dress fits like a dream. The lining makes it not as clingy and helps smooth out bumps. The cut of the dress takes into consideration bigger girl curves and works with them instead of hiding them. The neckline is nice, and shows cleavage without giving a peep show. All in all, it’s an awesome dress!
I am so happy with my dress and IGIGI! Go, get yourself an IGIGI dress! It WILL fit you and you will love it!

I’ve been looking at the Ishiko Top in Teal. I love the color combination, but I wonder about how low cut it is. Taking that in to consideration, I’d probably wear this out for drinks with jeans, or with a camisole to work.
Yay! I love all my Igigi clothes. For a dress, I’d choose the Callie dress to wear on a romantic night out with Joe. I might even wear it to work! However, I’m really lusting after the Ishiko top in raspberry rose.

I would wear the Jacqueline 2in1 Dress in Jade. Great dress for either work or works-drinks.

I had this dress on my list for the fashion show but was a bit leery because I almost never wear prints. You and Fred looked drop dead gorgeous and sexy in this dress, it convinced me to try prints.

I’d pick the Milan Plus Size Dress in Royal to wear to a fall wedding, plus after the wedding I could wear it to work. It seems like a versitile dress.

Glad that you found a dress you like/want to wear. I’m a recent convert to dresses myself so my wardrobe is seriously lacking in the dress dept, I would love to fill it out with the Riley or Doris dress!
That dress looks amazing on you! Igigi just knows how to dress women. I love the Francesca dress. I think it’s just the perfect LBD and one that would be great for evenings out to the movies or get togethers with friends. I think it would be so versatile and easily dressed up or down according to the occasion.

Thank you for your review! I can relate to the trepidation of ordering clothing online. The hand-wringing questions, ‘will it fit?’, ‘will it be worth it?’, even if you’ve ordered from the same place before. It’s reassuring to see that Igigi has good, consistent, quality clothing!
