Registration
Are you ready for a weekend of entertainment and socializing? Your $109 registration covers Weetacon dramatic plot twists, a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered Wisconsin countryside, fun and local food favorites (prepared by the lovely Mom-In-Rock, June) an open bar at the sleigh ride, a private professional karaoke DJ party, and a luxury wifi-enabled coach ride to and from the group activities that are not within walking distance. You’ll also get to experience the thrills and sometimes spills at a private Weetacon Bad Bar party, as well as a full itinerary geared toward entertainment and socializing. Whether you’re looking to reconnect with old friends, gain new friends, meet some online personalities in person or just have something entertaining to do during the depths of deep dark winter, we’re waiting for you in Green Bay!
How To Register
The Weetacon registration cap has been met. Please refer to the Waiting List policy. Fingers crossed!
You can either use Paypal (Use PERSONAL and OTHER payment types and send to Weetabix at gmail dot com) or send a paper check via mail (email for instructions). Registration must be received by February 1, 2013 (or before the capacity cap is reached), but we will put forth our best efforts to accommodate late registrations. Similarly, we will refund 100% of your registration up until Jan 1, 2013, and we will do our best to find someone to take your spot after that point. Due to the logistics of planning an event of this nature, we appreciate your understanding that our rates are based upon the assumption that we can fill a certain number of spots on the bus/sleighs/rooms/etc.
Round Up!
The beauty of our little gathering is that we all come from different backgrounds, culturally, religiously, and socio-economically. For years, several Weetacon angels have been rounding up their registration fees (by five, ten, thirty dollars or so) to contribute to the “Weetacon Tribal Fund.” This fund is an extension of our open door policy and helps cover registration for attendees in need. The “leave a penny take a penny” concept has helped at least one person every year (and often more than one). The Tribal fund is administered by and under the discretion of Wendy Bix and both the donors and the beneficiaries of said fund are completely confidential, with the exception of one trusted adviser who is on copy of all emails and donations as well as has line of sight on the financial spreadsheets.
While chipping in to help your fellow attendees is not tax deductible, any funds that are not disbursed will be donated to Paul’s Pantry in the name of the people who rounded up (percentages of total remaining funds, for tax purposes).
Waiting List Policy
In the event that we have reached capacity, we will open a Waiting List. Weetacon sells out so early that it’s very common for our attendees to have life throw unexpected conflicts at them and they are unable to attend. When those spots open up, we will turn to the Waiting List in first come, first served priority. To get on the Weetacon Waiting List, send a deposit on your registration (anywhere from the minimum $25 deposit to the $109 full registration) through either a personal check or PayPal (mark your payment Personal/Gift and OTHER for fee/tax reasons). This deposit will hold your place in line. When a space opens up, we’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance and you will have no more than 7 calendar days to pay the remaining balance before we move to the next person on the Waiting List. Of course, we’ll just automatically register you if you paid the full registration. If you are on the waiting list and space does not open, you will receive a refund, minus any fees that PayPal extracts.
