Raffle #63: Brew City Bundle *

Brew City Bundle (Retail: approx $30.00)

Green Bay’s big sister Milwaukee, has many amazing things to offer! Most items in this bundle were purchased from independent shops in the Milwaukee Public Market located in the Historic Third Ward. This is just a small taste of Milwaukee!

  • The roomy, 100% cotton Public Market tote measures approximately 15 X 14 inches and has long handles to better fit over your shoulder. (The handles are long enough to fit generously on my shoulder over my wool coat.)
  • The spices are from The Spice House and each contain 2 oz of the following spice blends:
    • Milwaukee Iron Seasoning:  Milwaukee Iron Seasoning is a nice Southwestern blend that’s heavy on the garlic and chipotle smoked jalapeño chiles. This commemorative blend was created in celebration of the 95th anniversary of Milwaukee’s own Harley Davidson.  Hand mixed from: assorted chile peppers, salt, garlic, coriander, cumin, cayenne, onion, and parsley.
    • Bay View Tuscan Seasoning:   Named for the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, this blend is versatile for mixing with olive oil dipping with bread, or as a rub for steak, pork and chicken. Hand mixed from garlic, Kosher salt, monosodium glutamate, toasted onion, olive oil powder, Tellicherry black pepper, sugar, red bell pepper, rosemary, onion, paprika, and green onion.
    • Back of the Yards Garlic Pepper Butcher’s Rub:  The term “butcher’s rub” refers to a coarser blend of spices, which is both attractive and flavorful.  This spice blend is one of their top selling spice blends and there is no guessing why!  Back of the Yards is hand mixed from: Tellicherry black pepper, garlic, Kosher flake salt, sugar, red bell peppers, shallots, parsley.
  • Two chocolate covered fairy food “nests” from Kehr’s Kandy Kitchen. Kehr’s has been a Milwaukee favorite since 1930. Included is one dark chocolate nest and one milk chocolate nest.  Fairy food is a popular Midwest treat that is sometimes called “sponge candy.”  Usually only available during the holidays, Kehr’s also offers nests during Easter. Kehr’s hand dips all their chocolates with pride.
  • One kitchen towel make from super absorbent 100% cotton huck toweling edged with a delicate turquoise patterned fabric, sewn by me.  All new materials, pre-washed to avoid shrinkage before sewing.
  • One half pint jar of decadent Caramel Apple jam, canned by me in my home this past fall made with locally grown apples.  This jam is delicious on toast, wonderful on crackers or enjoyed straight from the jar with a spoon. (Which I have caught my 10 year old son doing.)
