Charity Raffle FAQs

It’s easy: one dollar per chance to win an item. You put your ticket in the item that you want, so you don’t have to worry about getting a Snuggy when you really wanted the iTunes gift card. One buck, one chance, one item. The goal for Weetacon VI’s raffle is to raise $1200 $1500 (last year, we managed to raise $1147, but this year we have 25% higher attendance), but wouldn’t it be amazing to hit 2000 or dare I say 2500? Can we do it? I think we can do anything we set our minds to, but I’m excited to find out! The most important thing is getting enough raffle items to ensure that everyone has something in the raffle to push them toward getting more tickets!

  3. Drat. Oh well – my blood pressure thanks you even if I don’t.

  4. I just got back from the fabric store and I’m going to have a quilting marathon. All new for this year…one 54″ square extra warm fleece backed quilt. Can I get it finished in just 9 days? I hope so.

  5. […] that makes the world a better place somehow. One of my attempts at adding to the bottom line is the Weetacon Charity Raffle. It started three years ago when I had an idea while writing a blog post for Elastic Waist, during […]
