Weetacon 2017: YWCA Women’s Closet donations

This year’s Brats and Booyah spectacular will be held at the Green Bay YWCA, helping women achieve their dreams in Titletown since 1919. The YWCA is approximately two blocks from our host hotel.

The YWCA organizes a women’s closet that provides business appropriate clothing to low income women seeking employment. The goal of this program is to help women achieve their goals and “dress for success” to attain them.  Because Weetacon is all about giving and about chasing luck, in 2017, as well as our traditional three local charities, we’re also supporting the YWCA women’s closet through physical donations as well.

If you would like to donate your new or gently used women’s clothing or accessories, you’ll receive in return an appropriate number of Weetacon raffle tickets per item. Your donations to the YWCA women’s closet must be brought with you on Friday night to be donated in person. You’ll show your receipt to Shawn and get in exchange for your donations, the following:

  • Dress – 5 raffle tickets
  • Suit (matching blazer and pants or skirt) – 10 raffle tickets
  • Pants/Skirt/Shorts – 2 raffle tickets
  • Blazer/Jacket/Outerwear – 3 raffle tickets
  • Purse or pair of shoes – 3 raffle tickets
  • Accessories (scarf, jewelry, etc) – 1 raffle ticket
  • Surgical scrubs – 2 raffle tickets

In order to get raffle tickets you will need to show your YWCA receipt. Weetacon has always had a history of helping women look and feel fabulous — let’s return the favor and be fairy godmothers to some of the deserving women in Green Bay!
