I first fell in love with the Tropical Beauty dress when I saw it online at the Igigi web site. I really wanted that one! The colors are so lovely, it really lives up to it name “Tropical Beauty”. I felt it would be perfect for our vacation to Hawaii. We go out for supper on Valentines Day on Maui at Ruth Chris and Igigi’s Tropical Beauty gown would be awesome for that special occasion.
When the dress came, it fit like a glove, but was a tad too long. My sister quickly hemmed it so it hung perfectly over the small gold heels I wore with it. I also got a purple bra and panties for my wonderful new dress. The colors blended perfectly with the straps on the dress and I didn’t worry about anything showing around the bra-friendly straps. In my jewelry box awaited my druzzy necklace which looked like it was made for the dress.
The gown was wonderfully comfortable. That is so unlike normally wearing dress clothes that you can’t wait to get out of. I was sorry at the end of the evening to have to take it off.
I was told several times at the Weetacon style show that I looked beautiful and one guy even said “stunning”. That’s quite a compliment for a 64-year-old lady.
I can’t thank Yuliya enough for this lovely creation that will join the other Igigi clothing in my closet. I know there will be more. – June

Beautiful!
I love those colors on you! I think that one would be too long on me though…(just like I drool over this one, but it would drag on the ground http://www.igigi.com/plus-size-all/garbo-gown.html )
I am like a kid in the candy store with IGIGI. I love the Vika dress in black (almost pulled the one fred got off of her body). I love the Claudette dress with that sassy little sash of red. I would wear either of these dresses year round. To work, play, out and about.
You are gorgeous, and not just in that dress. Since seeing you in it, I want one too! I’d wear it to my nephew’s wedding this summer. I might steal all the attention away from the bride, but I don’t care.
June, that dress looked amazing on you – I fell in love with it, too! However, it wouldn’t really be practical for work, but either the Thelma Draped Dress in Coral/Charcoal or the Cora dress would be perfect for work, as well as a party or attending a wedding!
You are going to turn so many heads on Valentine’s Day!
The new Cora dress caught my eye this week….that soft pinkish hue is one I just love, and I have the cutest nude peep toe slingbacks to wear with it!
June, you look like a dream in that dress — both in person and in the pro photos above! I am still hoping for a chance at the Daphne Wrap Dress.
Seriously June, you look spectacular in that dress (and still do!).
I think I’d like to see how the Thelma Draped Dress in Deep Azure fit me. I think I could rock the color, I’m just not sure about the ruching on the hips.
June, you absolutely were stunning in that gown.
I agree with Fredlet though, as I also would be way too short to wear something that long. Though to keep with the theme of those gorgeous, bright colors I instead have my eye on the Vintage Floral Dress which is the perfect cheery dress to help me celebrate summer!
You are one sassy lady in those bright colors. I love it! Me, I’d have to go with the Nicole dress.
I am dying to get the Angie dress in Lilac for a wedding I have coming up…with some nice heels and some silver jewelry.
LOVE this and you look lovely! I am in love with the Hayleigh dress in midnight blue.
This is the one I would pick too…Tropical Beauty. Gorgeous!
I love the Kelly Dress in Black. I would accessorize it with a pretty necklace. It work be great to wear to an upcoming wedding. 🙂
I’d love to have the Cheryl wrap dress in teal multi. Soooo pretty!! I have the perfect necklace to go with it – turquoise stones with bronze accents.
I love the Antonia Dress – their dresses are amazing!
I love the Angie dress in lilac. I work in a very professional area of Washington, DC, and always feel so constrained to dress pants and nice shirts. The Angie dress would make me feel so much more confident among the well-dressed women downtown. And of my God, those Lourdes earrings! Those will get some attention!
I think the Nicole dress would be a great, kinda sassa work dress. I’d keep the accessories simple. Maybe some nice earrings and a nice heel.
The Loren dress! I have gained more weight after the birth of my daughter, and nothing fits right. It’s made me feel very lumpy and unattractive. I need something in a bold color with va-va-voom lines to wear on a date with my husband. (To accessorize, I’d wear the gold earrings and necklace from my wedding. I’m not much of an accessorizer.)
OMG! June you are stunning in those pictures and in person…you should come out of retirement and hit the runway! I want, want, want the Daphne Wrap dress to wear with some platform sandals and sparkly jewelry.
This dress is gorgeous! I would want the Ali Dress. Kimono sleeves are my downfall. Plus, it’s so pretty, all I would need to do is throw on some pretty flats and earrings!
I tend to stick to neutrals, but the Lempika keeps catching my eye. I adore the dark red with turquoise accessories. I can see wearing this with a black blazer during the day and by itself for date night. Lovely dress.
I love the vintage floral dress. I think it would be great to wear to a summer wedding or event. I would wear cute wedges and keep the accessories simple.
The tropical beauty gown is fabulous! I would love to own one myself. I’d wear it to my favorite restaurant.
June, I had the same reaction as you when I first saw this dress on the Igigi website. The colors were beautiful, and I pictured wearing it on vacation to a special occasion dinner. I had even looked into whether Igigi still had any shrugs available in a matching purple shade, but I didn’t see any. The dress is already so beautiful, I don’t think I would accessorize it too much…just some nice earrings and simple strappy heels. It looks amazing on you!
I would buy the gorgeousness that is the Naomi Gown. It is absolutely astounding. I just love it!!! I would wear it to a wedding that I have coming up and would be looking for any occasion, I can to show it off. The colors are so beautiful and it is absolutely romantic and screams elegance.
As for accessorizing, I have these beautiful drop earrings, with diamonds that are similar to the dusty pink color of the skirt, that I think would pair wonderfully. And as well to finish it off, a simple bracelet.
That is the dress I am in love with! I am even more in love with it now that I see it on you. I would wear it everywhere, all over town this summer. It would even match my sleeve tattoo that I am working on (1/4 done, next 1/4 next week)
OMG, I need this dress in my life. It is so flattering and perfect for the woman who isn’t afraid of color…that woman would be me 😉
I’m in love with the Ali Dress in multi. Great colors just like in your dress here – you look stunning!
Oh that dress looks lovely on you!! I’m a little simpler, I want the green Vanessa dress to wear to work and then dress up for a night out with my sweetie.
I want the Hayleigh dress in black/ivory. I love the whole look of the dress.
This dress is STUNNING! I would love to own it! It is so pretty it really doesn’t need much else to go with it…maybe a nice hairclip to wear my hair up?
You look amazing!
I would get the Francesca dress in black, pair it with red heels, and die of happiness.
I would love to have the Francesca dress in black. I would wear it to the theatre with a lovely shawl and nothing else.
Rainforest Paradise Maxi Dress is what I would choose. Nude sandals, as to not draw attention away from the detailing of the skirt. Pearl drop earrings, and hair in a sleek up-do to compliment neckline and my face shape. I would wear it to a New Year’s Even event.
I want the Garbo gown in black, ooh there are so many possibilities with that sexy stunner during the summer! I want to wear it with black wedge heels <3
Gorgeous!!! I would want the Justine Lace Dress in Deep Orchid. I would wear it to the theatre with silver strappy sandals and silver earrings, necklace and bracelets. I would wear my hair loose and flowy with plum shadows.
This dress is indeed stunning and you look great in it!
Oh wow the pop of colors on this! I would probably honestly get this hemmed to a knee-length/tea length dress but wow, you can’t be ignored in a dress like that! I’d want to wear it on a tropical island somewhere! But seeing as I’m not going to a tropical island anytime soon, I guess wearing it on a hopeful vacation to P-town would work too!
This neckline is crazy flattering. Sadly, I think Igigi has sold out of this one.
I LOVE the Francesca dress! It’s the perfect little black dress for any occasion. I would dress it up with strappy black heels and jewelry. I could wear this to the theater this summer, or even for a night out with the girls!
I’d wear the Rainforest maxi dress with understated but chic matching accessories to my (also plus-sized) friend’s wedding!!
