Seriously.
I had the pleasure of test driving the Skye dress from Igigi. It is more fitted than I usually wear but I have learned to trust in Yuliya Raquel’s design acumen and I think this dress is my favorite of all the one’s I have.

I LOVE this dress. Yegods.
It is lined, well-made, comfortable, non-wrinkly and incredible. The pattern suits my tastes, the style works for semi-dressy to very dressy and despite the fact that I am in between sizes right now and I chose the smaller size, it fits really well. My problem in a nutshell is that I have Tina Turner proportions (and not in the good way) I have long legs for my height, an hourglass (perhaps a 3-hour glass) figure and a short torso. Invariably with other dresses cut from a size 0 pattern and scaled up, I look like a potato since I have to buy a dress too large to accommodate my chestal region (yes, that is a word. I just made it up.) and can’t show that I do, in fact, have a waistline.
There’s a serious V neck with the faux wrap style and I have a black tank that serves as a line adjuster and very slight modesty panel (you might not need this depending what kind of relationship you have with your girls). The ruching around the waist is subtle, but accentuates it just enough so it doesn’t look like maternity wear if you have a little bit of a tummy. They aren’t kidding when they say “The dress is cut to enhance and define curves”. It does a great job and even I liked what I look like in it… (I might be just a little critical of my own appearance sometimes.)
Just add spectacularly high heels you are somewhat trepidatious about walking in,Β some sass and voila! Goodness ensues.
At $112 this dress is a bargain for almost any use.

You look totally hot in this dress, Fred! And, those heels were to die for! I love the Doris 2-in-one dress – so cute and it would be perfect for work or play!
Fred! That dress is HOT! Or rather YOU are hot in that dress! Your rather, I think this is the first time I’ve seen you in something other than fleece, and you should do it more often, because Girl!
OK,so I’m going to go for a total fantasy dress and pick the Antoinette Gown in Copper. That dress is sweeping. I don’t know where one wears a sweeping dress, but I feel like it would need to be somewhere where you can make a capital-E Entrance.
Holy moley, you are hot! For a dress, I’d choose the Callie dress to wear on a romantic night out with Joe. I might even wear it to work! However, I’m really lusting after the Ishiko top in raspberry rose.
Fredlet, you are the cutest, seriously. I am so sad not to have been a part of the fashion show this year — but I would choose the Katie dress, if it were mine to choose. I’d wear it to a wedding this summer, and maybe also just for sitting around.
You look lovely in this dress. I may have to change my own choice of the Jacqueline 2in1 Dress in Jade. Great dress for either work or works-drinks.
I love love LOVE the Ninelle dress in blue coral. That neckline is amazing and the material looks to flow gorgeously. The color is great for a lot of different skin tones.
I would definitely wear it out to a special dinner date, or I could probably get away with it at work if I needed to be all gussied up for some reason.
p.s. That dress looks awesome on you, Fredlet… their clever patterns are ideal for curvy chickadees like us. π
I could not have picked a better dress for you if I tried. You are the total bomb in this dress. So freaking hot. SCORCHING hot, lady.
And those shoes, PLEASE. Damn girl.
I have been all gaga over the margaux dress… it is so freaking fancy that I would MAKE stuff up to wear it. I think I would totally bring it to Vegas for your birthday (baby). It would help in the awsomeification of my wardrobe.
Very pretty print and color! I love the Riley dress…love me some polka dots!
I just saw this on someone else, you both look amazing in it!!!!!!
I want this for work.
Very pretty dress, a flattering cute as well as the side black areas give some depth to the design and make the dress very slimming. I like the Crist dress, it’s perfect for work and for going out on date night
I like the color on you, it looks amazing. My favorite dress for a night out is the Leigh Lace Dress in Black Iris. I think it’s gorgeous and would love to own it someday!
This dress looks great on you. I would like the Riley or Doris dress.
You look amazing in that dress! I might have to rethink the wrap dress! For me I’m in love with the Ivy dress. I love the bright blue colour of the top and would be perfect for the not so sunny Spring days here. I think it would be great for a friend’s wedding though which is taking place in a garden.
Cute! I am really loving the Katie dress. I think it could work great for a night out, or even to work during the warmer months.
You in that dress, in the shiny, shiny sunlight – so fabulous! Yegods, indeed!
My pick: Aubriella dress, for Mother’s Day!
The only time I can wear heels is when I know I’m going to be in my wheelchair all day! Even then, I don’t even own a pair now since I walk with my cane or walker at least part of most days.
I really want the Stella dress for our wedding vow renewal.
The Fred. The Dress. The Shoes. Oh my!
I am actually liking the Skye the more I look at it – I love the neckline and the way it can get dressed up or be more subdued (for work).
usually i’d feel like this print is too busy and distracting but girl, you make it work!
I’ve got a hankering for the Rachelle Lace Dress in Black/Rouge! It’d go perfect with my hair for a birthday dinner! π
this hugs your curves perfectly, i love it! i’m also oving the Thalia Dress, would love to wear it out for a night on the town with friends!
Looks so great on you!
I want the Versailles dress to wear to a work conference where I have to be a little dressed up but want to be springy/summery, too!
