I do love the Igigi dresses, these two are no exception.

wedding day 2012
In the past, the Francesca dress has always been a favorite of mine. I got married in a blue one, reviewed a black one, am drooling over a dark currant one…and I really, really, really want a white one. (Yes, I might be a little addicted. Are you listening, Igigi? Please?)
I do like that I *can* wear a dress.
Most of the time I have to buy separates with the top one being a size larger than my skirt, so wearing a dress that isn’t either too small on top or too big on the bottom is such a luxury.
As part of the Igigi event at Weetacon, I was given the these two dresses in exchange for writing an honest review.
My favorite of the two dresses is the Paola (retail $170). I love the curvy fit, the lace on the sleeves and the length. Fully lined, fitted at the waist and a bit daring on top with the faux wrap (you can wear a tank under it, but since I don’t really see this as a work time dress, why would you?). I wore mine with my kitten heels, but I could have gone to my evil heels and still been in character with the dress’s look and feel.
The Amaryllis (retail $250) is beautiful as well. I love the sparkliness of it (I need ruby slippers to wear with this dress please and thank you!), the colors are gorgeous and it also it a bit daring on top. Fully lined, well sewn and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t love about the dress on *me* was the shaping of the bodice. I saw it on Mandi and it suited her figure better than it did mine (though yes, I still love the dress…)
Both of these are more evening wear than work wear, but that’s ok, I need more girly in my wardrobe 😉

Wow you look great in both! Maybe a minimizer bra with the Amarylis? It still looks great on you, but I know what you mean. I am endowed with more than my fair share and often have a hard time finding a dress that accommodates my bosom. I am lusting for the Deora dress and I would wear it everywhere, all day, possibly every day. I might be obsessed.
Ooh, I was just looking at the Amarylis on the website. It’s beautiful. You look terrific.
The Deora dress is calling to me. I’m obsessed with the pattern. I’d wear it on a date with strappy red sandals and maybe a jaunty hat. I have lots of hats.
I really like both of your dress choices. I really want either the Hayleigh or the Wren wrap dress for a fundraiser I am attending.
I loved the sleeves of the Paola on you. So flowy and pretty!
Personally, I’m looking to expand my workwear collection, I would love to own the Monroe Skirt in Navy, and the Belmont Skirt in Ebony Damask. A Mena Jacket in Navy would also be a great addition, but let’s be honest that’s just the top three on the long list of Igigi things I want in my closet. 😉
You look fabulous in both dresses, Fredlet, but I especially love the Amaryllis! I’ve got my eye on the Thalia gown in Rose Garden that’s in the new Look Book, or the Jadyn Maxi Dress. Either one would be perfect for my high school reunion this summer!
You look spectacular in that Amaryllis dress! The Leigh dress is pretty too but the Amaryllis is striking.
I want the Domani top coat for spring/fall. Plus the Greenwich top in all the colors I don’t have as it’s the perfect “throw on, look great without any effort” piece.
Look at you all glammed up! Love these on you!
Right now, I’m coveting the Luella Tunic in Emerald, which I think would be great for work. (Pretty as the Igigi dresses are, they’re a bit fancy for my office, though much as I like the look of Amaryllis, maybe I should just be fancy here and let people wonder.)
The black one is very pretty on you.
That Amaryllis dress? AMAZING ON YOU!!! You look lovely! I would like to add the Tiffany dress (either pink or jade) to my Igigi collection. I have, like, tons of stuff to do this summer and I need to look cute. 🙂
Both look amazing! You look so happy.
I’ve been coveting the Amaryllis. I tried one of the full length dresses – the Naomi a year or two ago, but it didn’t work for me. I think this style would work better!
I love the Amaryllis on you. It’s gorgeous. And the Paola is dead sexy.
I’m looking for pants lately, so I’d love to try on the Elizabeth or Monroe pants.
I love the Hayleigh dress in Midnight Blue – I’ve been coveting it for a while!
You look great!! I really love the Cadence Dress in Black. I would wear it to my college graduation in May.
The Paola looks great on you. I personally love the Fayette dress in Merlot. So pretty for a nice dinner out.
I think you look great in both! The Amaryllis dress just lights you up. I’m lusting after the Janus dress in pink pindot. Mostly because I like saying and typing “pink pindot”, but also because it would look great at work and give me an excuse to buy pink shoes.
Those look so great on you! I am looking at the Vintage Polka Dot for summer parties.
Gorgeous! I must have the Letta Dress in Mandarin Rose.
Wow, the amaryllis is a knock-out!
It is hard to narrow down my favorite to one. I love the nico skirt in midnight sahara (with matching top) and the jadyn maxi dress (I LOVE blue and purple!) My niece is turning 1 in a couple weeks, so a brand-new pretty dress would be terrific to wear to her birthday party. (I’m also eying the vintage floral dress for an “every day” look.)
You look fabulous in both dresses but I have to admit — that Amaryllis is the one I am coveting! Drool, drool, want, want, want. (And why does Target only sell the little red ruby slippers for little girls? We would all enjoy a good knock-off of those too!)
The Nikki maxi dress would be perfect for my summer vacation. The colors and cut are gorgeous.
I’d choose the Isis dress for work; my work wardrobe needs refreshing.
I am absolutely in love with Amaryllis. I could get away with it at work and then it would be perfect for going out!
My first thought with both dresses was you look damn hot! And, you need those shoes 🙂
I really want the Linea Plus Size Maxi Dress in Vermillion. That color is gorgeous.
Fred, you look awesome in both! I’m now leaning towards a Neve dress in blue floral. I think I could make it work for the office!
I’m so thrilled to win! Thank you Weetacon and IGIGI, and thank you Fred!! So excited to get a dress, and hopefully it will come in time for graduation, but if not, I could definitely do with a nice dress tucked away for a special occasion 🙂
